# Adding comments

### How to add comments to your diagram[​](#how-to-add-comments-to-your-diagram "Direct link to How to add comments to your diagram")

EventCatalog Studio allows you to add comments to your diagram, and create threads between you and your team.

Comments can be used to capture conversations, thoughts, and feedback on your diagram.

To add a comment to your diagram, drag the `Comment` node onto your diagram.

After the initial comment is made, anyone can reply to the comment, and create a thread of conversation.

Where are comments stored?

Comments are stored against your design, which are local and can be exported when you [export your design](/docs/studio/diagrams/import-export.md).

EventCatalog Studio is privacy-first, and your designs stay local by default. Nothing is stored in the cloud.

### Closing threads[​](#closing-threads "Direct link to Closing threads")

You can click the `Tick` icon on the top right of the comment thread to close the thread.

You may want to close a thread if the conversation is complete, or if the comment is no longer relevant.

### Deleting comments[​](#deleting-comments "Direct link to Deleting comments")

You can delete a comment by hovering over a comment and clicking the `Trash` icon.
